It feels good to come to the end of the week and feel like you have accomplished a lot of things. And now the weekend is finally here. I never seem to get too much of a break over the weekend. Tomorrow I am going up to Texarkana and help some people with some rental properties they have up there. I’m not exactly sure what I have gotten myself into. I know it at least has got me getting up at 6 in the morning. I’m sure it will just be your typical old house clean up stuff…ripping out carpet, picking up trash, cleaning windows, yardwork, and things of that nature. Sometimes it is nice to not have to do work that requires you to really think, just some hard manual labor. I am not even sure how long I am supposed to help out. Might turn into an all-day-event. But then Sunday I will have church and maybe a few homework assignment after that. Then my week starts all over again. But it is a very nice thought to remember that this is the last semester that I am going to have to take 18 hours. It is just a short season of my life though, so I will enjoy every moment of it.

  1. I'm taking 21 hours, so believe me, I feel your pain! I have to do homework almost every single day which is hard to keep up with sometimes! But it will definitely be worth it! Good luck!

  2. Landon,
The beginning of every weekend is certainly welcomed by me. It seemed as though this past week just dragged on forever. I believe the dreary weather may have played a large part in that. Like you, I never seem to get much of a break during the weekend since this is the time I must set aside for doing homework. Working full time and taking night classes does not leave time during the week to take care of that. I cannot imagine taking 18 hours and I admire you for that. I remain overwhelmed with my two classes. Mindless manual labor is great! My idea of this is cleaning house which has a relaxing effect on me. Hope you have a productive semester.

  3. I know what you mean about not getting much of a break. I originally was going to take 18 hours, but I had sense enough to go ahead and drop class. I work part-time and I have a 1st grader and a 4th grader. So I not only have my own homework to do but I have to help them with their's as well. I have three test next week, my daughter has a report due, and my son has a project due as well. I am so ready for next week to come and go. But I do agree with Christie. It will definitely be worth it in the end.
